Russell is part of a long line of great Native leaders and visionaries, like Tecumseh, Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, Chief Gall, Rain-In-The-Face and Geronimo. Without them, and those who fought bravely along side them, there would be no Lastrealindians. We’ve picked up their struggle.

WINDOW ROCK, ARIZONA—Flags across the Navajo Nation will be flown at half-staff in honor of the last surviving member, Chester Nez, of the Original 29 Navajo Code Talkers. Mr. Nez was 93.

Chester Nez passed in his sleep on June 4, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A list of demands put forth by University of North Dakota Native students in regards to tomorrow’s Walk For Change Rally.

We should also demand a discount at all und events or activities while we’re at it. Not so much for vengeance but as a definite & constant reminder to all those who continue to harbor or express ill feelings & attitudes towards American Indian people!! Since this subversive & blatant racism will most likely persist then Indigenous students as well as their families & relations should at least get a tangible, immediate benefit
